GUNUNG STONG CONQUERED!


back from an awesome expedition
it was really a worth trying experience
4 days started with stuffing our bagpacks FULL!
like seriously bloated
n groceries shopping for outdoor cooking
and there goes our 12 hrs train journey to kelantan
monopoly deal-ed and talk nonsense during the journey

reached, breakfast, preparation
caving in 3 different caves

and oh wow
we were da leeches best meal i guess
at least 3 were stuck on our legs
disgusting but yes the truth
got wet having to crawl thru low limestones with water below it
phew! obstacle one completed!

lunch and start of our hike up to gunung stong
and PLUS our heavy loads!

SUPER not easy
with no proper steps
all we have are just tree branches and tree and soils and stones to grab on
but da sight and sound of waterfall just near us was encouraging
hiked up by the waterfalls too
which was COOL!


though i was like oh no what if i slipped
im gonna be washed down by the waterfall
LOL!
stopped for a few check points
and finally after 3 hours
YEY!!
finally reached our base camp!
all da sweats and hard work
paid off!
quickly pitched our tents


and wohoo its bathing time
it wasnt da usual shower though
we were showering by the waterfall
which was FUN!
water was freezing cold
but we still wanna clean up
typical kampung style
and i love dat feeling
FUNN!
next was outdoor cooking in da dark
how exciting is dat
just torchlights and lamps to facilitate our meal preparation
but still yummy!

day 3 with morning sunrise

and breakfast preparation
zombie-ed for a moment for the hike up to the peak
dat is challenging even without our load
and we had our own mini picnic at da peak of the waterfall
as a reward

managed to stop by a few main stops
had da waterfall slide too!
wohooo!

next is tearing down of tents
while its raining
and our hike down nightmare begins
hahaa
it was steep yet its raining
mud all over as we carelessly fall
but da sense of achievement when we reach da bottom is just awesome!

had much fun throughout
and getting to know some fun peeps!
